Founded in 1990, Community Gardens of Tucson today supports 21 gardens with nearly 500 gardeners in diverse communities in neighborhoods across Tucson. We welcome gardeners of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and economic standing who want to grow organic food (and herbs and flowers) through sustainable gardening practices. Automatic watering, tools, and a supportive community to help you are all included!
Thanks to Arizona Public Media for this great story about Community Gardens of Tucson!
And a big thank you to the Edward H. & Rosamond B. Spicer Foundation, the Arizona Alliance of NonProfits/Arizona Gives Nonprofit Emergency Relief Fund, and Watershed Management for their gifts and grants during the Covid-19 crisis. Please read about their generosity here.
