Iman has always loved being outside and using their hands in the dirt. But as a beginner gardener she felt intimidated. Years later, she's become an experienced gardener with the help of Community Gardens of Tucson. After attending a work party at one of the gardens, she was inspired to rent a plot. The feeling of having some land to grow food on, as well as the irrigation, tools, and support to get started was priceless. Now as a board member Iman strives to make gardening accessible and joyful for diverse communities. They believe growing local food with love should be available to all.
