John Counts

In May 2024, CGT appointed John Counts to the newly created part-time role of irrigation specialist. John learned his irrigation skills while working for a landscaping company, managing his home irrigation systems, and receiving guidance from his brother, a journeyman plumber. With 27 years of service at the Arizona Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (ASDB), John has held various positions, including supervisor of the Instructional Assistant Staff, Wellness Coordinator, and CPR Trainer.  Additionally, he has overseen the ASDB garden for a decade, providing him with valuable experience for his role at CGT. John has a passion for gardening and the CGT community. Before taking on the irrigation specialist role, he was a long-time volunteer with CGT.
