I am a retired elementary school teacher from Mesa, Arizona where I taught for over 35 years. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Arizona State University, and my Master of Arts degree from Northern Arizona University. Learning, growing, and participating in community are my passions and they continue to shape my interests and activities. My son and daughter are both graduates of the University of Arizona. My daughter and her family live in Tucson and that’s what brought me here. Now, I am looking for ways to learn about the area and connect with others. Community Gardens of Tucson is a wonderful find! My garden plot at Sunrise Drive is growing well and I am enjoying making new friends and learning new things. I am happy to get involved as a volunteer and help in any way I can.
