Steve Smith

Steve is a plant scientist and has been growing plants and helping others learn about them as a faculty member at the University of Arizona since 1984. He's also been gardening in Tucson for much of that time. Steve is especially interested in how plants deal with environmental stress like heat and drought, and how gardeners might mitigate these. He is also committed to the important social and cultural benefits that community gardens provide.
